Who We Are
Khal Ohr Gedalyahu began with a dream to create a community in Ramat Eshkol. A Kehilla with its own Rav and infrastructure. A shul where one could go to daven and experience the passion and warmth of Torah and tefillah. An atmosphere where young couples can easily integrate, grow, and become the families that they seek to become.
Inspiring Leadership
Our Kehilla is held up by a Rav who uplifts and inspires all who surround him. Rabbi Avraham Schorr שליט”א, is someone who lives life with a true passion for Torah and mitzvos. The energy he emits when he gives weekly divrei Torah infuse our members with a passion for yiddishkeit. Because the Rav genuinely cares for each and every Jew, so many are drawn to him.
Rabbi Avraham Schorr
Rabbi Avraham Schorr was raised in Baltimore, MD where he attended Yeshiva Ner Yisrael. He went on to study in the Mir and Brisk Yeshivos in Yerushalayim, as well as Yam Hatalmud in Brooklyn, NY. He served as a Maggid Shiur in numerous Yeshivos in Eretz Yisroel, and subsequently became the Rosh Kollel of Kollel Ohr Gedalyahu and Ohr Hamizrach. He is currently the Rosh Kollel of the Ramat Eshkol Choshen Mishpat Kollel. He gives many shiurim on a variety of topics including Daf Yomi, Halacha, Gemara b’Iyun, and Aggada. His clear, and engaging style has captivated and inspired a vast audience.
